This place is a mess at the moment. If you look at my logbook, you can see I’ve not been active since late 2021. That’s because we had to move back to our condo and, well, you know HOAs. Also, I got pretty busy doing other things during COVID so radio sort of took a back seat.
My (Masonic) brother N9MAN contacted me the other week and said hey, what about that lodge radio club we have, guys really want to get licensed and do stuff now. So I was like, well, I guess I’d better get my radio stuff together and dust off the old website and so forth. Now if I can just remember to check into the ARES net every week, I’ll be starting to get back onto my game. I have plans to hang an HF antenna in my attic, so more on that if and when it actually happens. Meanwhile I may look for sunny weekend days to put my Buddipole out on the deck and try to make a few contacts.
I sat on a ham radio panel at LibertyCon in Chattanooga, this past June. That was a lot of fun. Hopefully the convention organizers will see fit to do that again next year. Oh. Did I mention I’m a science fiction pro writer now?
